This website is designed with a threefold purpose. First, for the typical Christian who wants to grow in his/her knowledge and understanding of God through His Word, it can be used for personal study. Secondly, it is designed for the person who wants to lead a Bible study but has very little time to prepare. Hence the question and answer format which minimizes the need for preparation time. And thirdly, it is designed for those who are not yet followers of Jesus Christ but would like to learn what the bible teaches.

Each of the Bible studies is designed with an eye toward application. Without practical application to our lives, the Bible becomes nothing more than a history book with some nice stories. It is my passion to share the truth of the Scriptures through an inductive Bible study methodology, i.e. what does the passage say, what does it mean, and how does it apply to my life?

It is clear from the Bible that the primary ministry of Jesus, when He walked the face of the earth, was a teaching ministry. The reason for that was the people had such a great need to understand. It is my conviction, as an evangelical Christian, that the need of the average person today is not very different. Most Christians today have a great need to understand and grow in their personal faith journey.

These studies are not designed for pastors, clergy, or seminary students but for anyone who desires to pursue a greater understanding and appreciation of the Scriptures and their Author.

My prayer is that the readers’ hearts will be lined up with Paul’s when he said, “I want to know Christ.”  May you discover Him in these pages.
